We don’t think we’ll ever get over this Windows on the River wedding day honestly. From start to finish, we were obsessed with the way these two sweet humans celebrated their incredible love.
We started the day at The Hilton Hotel in Downtown Cleveland where the bride and groom both got ready separately with their favorite people. There was no shortage of laughter amongst the bridal parties (both full of life-long friends) at every turn. The girls shared stories from their time growing up with Nicole, some of which her mom didn’t even know about, and they all reminisced on the fun they had throughout the years.
Once it was time to get dressed, Nicole had her mom help her into her stunning bridal gown. Once the wedding dress was on, it was time for the cape – yes, we said CAPE! If you’ve never seen a bridal cape, we suggest you scroll on down right now to check out the jaw-dropping look. Honestly, we have no words for it. It was simply perfection.
After getting dressed, the bride and groom were supposed to head out to have their first look off-site. Unfortunately, the transportation was running behind and it didn’t look like that was going to happen. So we pivoted. The bride and groom were both so open to changing the plan if it made things work more smoothly, and that’s tough to do. Not getting stressed out about mishaps, but instead embracing them, we don’t see that often on wedding days (but we do recommend this to EVERY couple getting married).
We changed the plan last minute to do their first look right outside the hotel while waiting to head to the church. This worked so well and anyone who didn’t know the original plan would have thought it was planned this way. Nicole and Dan read their personal, hand-written vows to each other and oh my goodness… let me tell you, we were crying right along with them. Their emotions were so raw and sweet and the way they comforted each other was so special to see.
Next, it was time to head to the Harkness Chapel for the wedding ceremony. This was our first time, and let us tell you, the visual goodness of this chapel is to die for. The bride and groom stood up on the stage and it just created such vibe. We were obsessed. Our absolute favorite part about the ceremony is that the groom’s grandfather is the one who officiated. Can you imagine having your grandparent officiate your wedding? Seriously, cue the tears… we’re pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
After the wedding ceremony, we headed to Cleveland Museum of Art for some formal photos. This is always a favorite spot for us and we love going in the spring when flowers are blooming. After taking formal photos, Nicole and Dan had an idea for something more fun that they wanted to do. So we headed over to Geraci’s Slice Shop on Prospect for some pizza.
We had SO MUCH FUN at the pizza shop enjoying the deliciousness and taking beautiful photos. We love when couples want to do something a little different (and have fun), so this idea was our favorite. Nicole and Dan had a blast with their bridal party and everyone got to have their bellies fed. Win-win if you ask us!
Next, it was finally time for the Windows on the River wedding reception and it did not disappoint. From every tiny, gorgeous detail to the insane party – we wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Windows on the River always provides such an amazing environment to celebrate in. Our favorite part of the reception was when the bride and groom changed into matching Nike sweatsuits. What a brilliant way to bring comfort and fun into your wedding reception?
“I cannot express enough how happy and thankful I am that I had the pleasure of having Three & Eight Photography capture my wedding day. Autumn was from day 1 an absolute pleasure to work with and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. We both immediately felt like we could relax and be ourselves with her, which was very important to us. She has an infectious positive energy and is so kind and fun to work with – she’s truly the hype woman I never knew I needed!
Throughout the whole process the communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail was unmatched. On our wedding day Autumn & Jay were absolutely INCREDIBLE and helped the day go so smoothly. They came prepared with ideas for places to go, poses to do, and also helped with the typical wedding day chaos that they are no doubt very used to by now. They are so knowledgeable and talented at what they do, and the absolutely stunning photos of our day clearly reflect that!
I could not have imagined having anyone else with us to capture our big day and I’m forever thankful that I found them. My husband and I simply could not be happier with our photos and our overall experience. I could gush about how amazing they are all day but trust me when I say you will simply not find a better team to have with you for your special day. They are truly the best of the best and I cannot recommend them enough, book them now!!!” – Nicole
