We love when couples brave the elements – and Alice and Halden’s rainy Thorcreek Winery wedding was definitely an example of braving the elements. With a forecast showing nothing but a cold, steady rain for the entire day, ultimately this awesome couple decided to keep their outdoor wedding outdoors! After all, there were plenty of umbrellas to go around, and when you’ve chosen a venue with a beautiful outdoor space, you take advantage of it. It was so worth it and a little rain didn’t hurt anyone!!
The whole time Alice was getting ready, she was studying the weather out the window wondering if her ceremony was going to happen. Obviously northeast Ohio can be difficult when planning an outdoor wedding, but this bride wasn’t going to let that hold her back. When we got to Thorncreek we enjoyed the pockets of time with no rain. The bride and groom decided that they’d provide their guests with umbrellas and deal with whatever the weather had in store.
Our favorite moment from this Thorncreek Winery wedding was the super sweet and emotional ceremony when the bride had to hold back tears the entire time. We love happy tears and we love watching everything come together for our brides – it’s just the best! This happened again during the reception (specifically during the speeches). And it definitely made for the best pictures!
